Pork Shabu Shabu at home

It’s been one month now. My life in Japan is slowly settling down. God lets me meet new friends who guide me around the town.

My sweet old Friend, despite her busy schedule brings me food and one full bag of red chillies for cooking (I can’t survive without chillies πŸ˜…πŸ˜†)

I started cooking hometown food with the chillies, so I don’t miss much of Indonesian food. I have to admit cooking in Japan is so much fun because most of ingredients are so fresh, the vegetables, meat, fruits… Children snacks have so many varieties, alcohol beverages are great, even tap water here in Kumamoto, is delicious.

My girl was hanging around in the kitchen today and asking me to let her help me cooking. It is not always easy to let kids cook with you, but I am Glad I let her help this time.

We cooked some simple Pork Shabu (we used thin sliced pork) that we enjoyed with Shabu Shabu sauce (Sesame Sauce) sold in the supermarket and it tasted so good with warm rice. Do try this simple dish when you have time πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‹
